RACE INFORMATION

CLEAR CREEK HALF MARATHON

Time: 7:00 AM
Start: Clear Creek Canyon exit 7, Sevier UT
End: The race will finish about 1/4 mile from Hwy 89. Runners will be running on Clear Creek Canyon road, and just after crossing the over-pass, they will then make a U-turn onto road 476 that parallels the freeway. It will be well marked!! If you use the address 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road   Sevier, UT in google maps, it will get you there!

DESCRIPTION: Join us for a picturesque 1/2 marathon with a 1300 ft decent. Top of the canyon is 7000 ft to 5612 ft at the finish. This scenic run begins 30 miles south of Richfield, off of I-70 at exit 7. Runners will start at the top of Clear Creek Canyon running beside a beautiful creek and through steep canyon cliffs.  Runners will continue past the Fremont Indian park and it’s 14 points of interest from newspaper rock, cave of 100 hands, Indian blanket, and the sheep shelter cave, to name a few.
Come early or stay a couple days to enjoy some of the local attractions. Check out the museum and all of it’s petroglyphs, pictographs and artifacts. Enjoy our trails for hiking, 4-wheeling, and fishing.  Camp out or come stay in the many hotels in Sevier County.

STARTING LINE: The starting line will be at the top of Clear Creek Canyon, at the Clear Creek Canyon exit 7 from I-70. There will be porta potties available here.

Race participants can have someone else drop them off at the starting line. But, a shuttle will be provided. To ride the shuttle, please be at the finish line no later than 5:50 AM. Last shuttle leaves at 6:05 AM.

FINISH LINE: 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road  Sevier, UT. The race will finish about 1/4 mile from Hwy 89. Runners will be running on Clear Creek Canyon road, and just after crossing the over-pass, they will then make a U-turn onto road 476 that parallels the freeway. It will be well marked!! There will be an aid station and runner finish area next to the finish line with refreshments and bathrooms.
Awards will be given to the top 3 overall finishers for both men and women shortly after they finish.

AID STATIONS: Aid stations at miles: 2.25, 4, 6, 8.5, 10.5, 11.8. Each aid station will provide the runners with water and gatorade (only water at mile 2.25).  Miles 2.25, 6, 10, and 11.5 will also have porta potties. Mile 9.25 also has restrooms that will be open and available.

PARKING: Parking will be available just North of the finish line on the Clear Creek Canyon Road. Please have supporters park here, and walk to the finish line. 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road  Sevier, UT

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All participants receive a race shirt
A shuttle will provide transportation from finish line to the starting line.
Finisher medals will be given to those who complete the course
Overall top 3 men and women receive prize

Start: Clear Creek Canyon Road 3.1 miles west of finish line, Sevier UT
End: 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road  Sevier, UT.  The race will finish about 1/4 mile from Hwy 89. Runners will be running on Clear Creek Canyon road, and just after crossing the over-pass, they will then make a U-turn onto road 476 that parallels the freeway. It will be well marked!!  If you use the address 500 W Clear Creek Canyon Road    Sevier, UT   in google maps, it will get you there!

STARTING LINE: will start 3.1 miles west of the finish line.  Runners will be shuttled (Shuttles will leave at 7:10 AM.) No personal vehicles are allowed on the course.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All participants receive a race shirt, and medal.
A shuttle will provide transportation from Finish Line, to the starting line. You will be shuttled to the starting line, to avoid a traffic mess. Our Half Marathoners will be coming down this same route, and we want to keep the road from being congested, and keep our runners safe! Please start gathering at the finish line at 6:45am, and NO later than 7:00am.
