Is there somewhere supporters can see me?

Our course is going to be a closed course. No spectator traffic is going to be allowed, just because there is not a lot of turn around room, and we want our runners to remain safe!
Although, if you would like a spectator, they may exit at exit17 and drive toward the juction of the hwy (about .5 mile). From there, they can park on the side of the road and walk to the hwy you will be running down. This is at about mile 8 of the course.
And then of course, near the finish line, supporters are allowed and encouraged!

Can I bring my dog or other pet to run with me?

No. We want to keep everyone safe from an unexpected trip hazard, or potential threat.

What are normal temperatures?

At the top average is ~36-40. And the bottom of the race ~55-65. Though, we are not weather specialists! Temperatures can fluctuate..
You will be running East.. bring sunglasses or a hat if you prefer for blocking sun. We also provide a tin foil disposable blanket for you to use at the top.

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds to registrations. After planning gets going and calculations are made, registration money is used to purchase race day items. However, you are allowed to defer your registration to the next year’s race. Another option is to sell your bib through social media or any outlet you can find. If you sell your bib, please email us at sevierrunners@gmail.com to take care of the bib transfer!
Thank you!

Where can I leave my extra clothing when the race starts or while running?

You will be given a “drop bag” during packet pickup. You can choose to use this to leave your clothing in at the starting line of the race. These bags will be brought to the finish line area. Also, you can leave clothing at any aid station, and they will also be brought to the finish line after the last runner passes the aid station.

Packet pick-up is in Richfield, but the course is in Sevier?

Yes, that is correct. Our “city” is Richfield, and has all the amenities you might need. > Restaurants, hotels, shopping, shoe store (Gary’s shoes), all the things. The course finish line/bus load zone is located about 15 miles away. This was the only way we could let you enjoy the beauty of the canyon!

What are some things to do and see while I am in the area?

We are so glad you asked!
Our course is centrally located to the “Mighty 5” National Parks in Utah. If you don’t know what those mighty 5 are, you should definitely google Utah’s Mighty 5! You could easily spend a week or more in our area. We have plenty of hotels, airbnb’s, and RV parks available to make a memorable time here.
Also located along the course is the Fremont Indian State Park museum. If you are only here for a short time, check out some of the hikes inside this park – you won’t be disappointed. Also nearby is Big Rock Candy Mountain. They offer zip lining, water rafting, river floating, etc. If you own a travel trailer, you have multiple RV parks to choose from. (You can stay right in the state park, in Richfield, in Marysvale, or near the finish line – there’s a new RV park right next to our finish line area!)
